J.S Inventors- This program focused on Jersey Shore residents who were granted patents for inventions.

2024

Macabre Mystery Tour of the Jersey Shore Cemetery- This tour told the stories of residents of the cemetery who died under unusual or tragic circumstances.  There were over 80 people in attendance for this tour.

2023

Our first in-house program of 2023

“A Family’s Labor Day Outing to Nippono Park”

Join us Sunday, March 26, 2023 2:00 p.m. as we time-travel back to the early 190o’s. A family will spend Labor Day at Nippono Park, Jersey Shore’s very own amusement park.  This program offer a glimpse into what life was like at the turn of the last century.

Historic Homes of Jersey Shore: A guided tour from 1893-2023

This program was held at the Jersey Shore Presbyterian Church 235 South Main Street Jersey Shore on September 24, 2023.

This virtual tour highlights twenty-four historic homes in Jersey Shore.

Hop in the family carriage and learn about mid-19th century architecture and those who lived in these homes.

All  programs are held at the Samuel Moss House 200 South Main Street, Jersey Shore, PA unless otherwise noted.

March 20, 2022 2:00p.m.-4:00 p.m.Antiques Appraisal Event- Mike and Michael Callahan from Callahan Antiquities will be on hand to evaluate your treasures. For $3.00 per item you can find out if what has been in your family for generations is enough to retire on.

April 3, 2022  2:00p.m.-3:00 p.m.-Notable Women Artists of Jersey Shore Join us for an afternoon of art, history and discussion. Linda Lehman will present biographies of two of the most well known artists of Jersey Shore- Jane Spangler and Vi McLain. Chances are you have a painting done by these women, so bring to the program and share your story of the item and remembrances of the artist. Light refreshments will be served.

April 24, 2022 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.- Alice Anastasia Eck: A Remarkable Journey from Nippenose Valley to Siberia    This is a very interesting program not to be missed. Pat Scott will tell the story of this young woman and how she ended up in Siberia in 1918 and if she returned to Nippenose Valley.

May 7, 2022 6:30 p.m.- Women’s Veteran’s Tour of Jersey Shore Cemetery  This program is a walking tour of the Jersey Shore Cemetery and will highlight the stories of women veteran’s who are buried there.  This tour is held rain or shine and comfortable shoes are a must.  The tour is an hour long.

  1. How can I show somebody a few business signs from JS probably from the 30s.I will donate them.Also a $20.00 & a $100.00 bill printed in JS 1929 date Union National Bank of Jersey Shore is on the bills will also donate them to the museum
