Our museum remain closed during the Covid-19 situation

We are having Home Town History Lessons on our Facebook page until June 5, 2020.

We post 2-3 days per week and we started with the history of the Susquehanna River.  Check out the page and follow along, some postings are Time Travel Tuesday, Drive-By history (stories of the homes), and a Follow-Up Friday for back stories on the weekly postings.

We are using this time to plan new and interesting programs and tours for later this year and next year.

2020 is the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment. Jersey Shore played a part in the Women’s Sufferage Movement and our programs and tours will highlight the women of the Jersey Shore Area.  Please follow our FB page @JSHISTORY1 for updates on our activities.

Thank you to all of our members who support our museum and programs throughout the year.

This was a first in a series of Veterans’ grave tour of the Jersey Shore Cemetery.  This tour  focused on veterans from the Revolutionary War, War of 1812 and the Mexican War.

Our Historical Yard Sale July 4, 2019 11:00am-1:00pm was successful.  The Life magazines brought back a lot of memories through the stories and advertisements.
