We are currently fundraising for a large format scanner. This will allow us to scan our newspaper collection. The collection dates from 1844. The newspapers are currently not available online. We hope to change that once we scan them and post them on the PA Power Library. Our goal is $6,850.00. The Jersey Shore Historical Society Photograph collection is now available online.
Thank you to the Jersey Shore Public Library board for approving our request to use their subscription to the PA Power Library. With the approval we are able to upload our photographs for everyone to enjoy for free. To access the collection, go to http://www.powerlibrary.org and choose PA photographs and documents and search Jersey Shore Historical Society. We began this project in September 2024.
